Bundled Services

The PEO industry coined the term "Administrative Service Organization" or ASO in the late 1990s to describe an alternative to the PEO employee management structure that did not involve co-employment. This has caused a fair amount of confusion as many business executives and advisors have never heard of the term "ASO". If you Google "ASO", you will see information on "Aircraft Shopper Online" or "Administrative Services Only" which refers to health plan administration not employee management. To add to the confusion, the term can mean, depending on the vendor, everything from a glorified payroll service to services as in depth and comprehensive as those offered in the PEO model. XcelHR offers three options for ASO services: Full Service, Benefits Module & HR Module. Put another way, you might say we offer "ASO Deluxe" and "ASO Lite". The bottom line is we offer choice and, if one of these three models doesn’t fit your needs, you can get what you need through our HR Flex program.
ASO Full Service is essentially a solution like that offered in our PEO model with one key difference – there is no co-employment. You continue to operate as you do now under your own FEIN (tax ID number). There is no leasing of employees. For a detailed listing of services, see the Services Grid.
